United States: A pair of storm systems is already looming in over 40 million people across parts of the Central and Eastern US today, expected to cause large hail, damaging winds, and even a couple of twisters.

Which areas are at the largest risk?

The largest endangered region extends from central Texas through southern South Dakota, covering cities like Oklahoma City and Kansas City. The worst thunderstorms are forecast along the belt from Kansas through South Dakota.

At the onset of these storms, winds will already be blowing up to 55 mph through the western part of Nebraska to southwestern Texas as the panhandle. Whilst will be very dry and hot, the winds will add to the critical fire weather in the region, as CNN reported.

More about the activities of the storm

Storms escalated after the onset on Monday and are expected to go eastward in the evening.

Next midnight some thunder weather is expected, so its advised to turn on phone’s emergency weather notifications before going to sleep.

Scientists have found out that tornadoes at night are over than twice as fatal as daytime twisters. Tornadoes arising at night pose a serious threat because they are hard to see (especially in the dark) and those who are sleeping might not be aware of approaching danger.

The weather conditions of eastern North Carolina and Virginia are on Monday expected to have in-store from the earlier weekend storm that also hit this region, parting with little hail and stronger winds.

By Tuesday, the biggest threat of severe storms coming through southern Wisconsin will be required to focus from Louisiana. Primarily, this storm will consist of strong winds, but certainly, a hail storm is not out of the question, as well as an isolated tornado, as CNN reported.

The forecast for Tuesday shows the most concentrated severe weather development corridor across the southern parts of Iowa and Missouri during mid-noon and early evening hours with a threat of hail and tornadoes.

Flooding alerts in some areas in US states

Flood danger facing the tract might be one of the storm’s biggest problems. This Monday, northern Texas to North Dakota is a zone with possible inclement weather that can result in excessive rainfall. Tuesday gives rise to the bulk of the moisture, which is in the eastern direction, accompanied by the risk of floods, mostly to the Midwest.

The forecasted amount of rainfall to be between 1 and 3 inches in west-central, northeast and central regions of the country until Wednesday.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Fort Wayne, Indiana, are already battling excessive rainfall for this month since more than a dozen river gauges have been already at minor flood stage before the last episode of this rain arrived.
